The Advent season is upcoming and we are working hard in the Learning Center and in Life Skills to prepare for it.  Our new sewing service project is putting the emphasis on giving to others, as our students will be making bibs to donate.  Students will also be completing individual sewing projects.

In Life Skills, students will be participating in swimming lessons, visiting the MCA for a performance of the Snow Queen, and continuing to work on healthy living habits and becoming more self-aware.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns,

God Bless,

Mrs. Choboter

As IEP meetings are concluding, it is time to venture out on some social outings.  The Learning Center, along with our amazing peer tutors, will be enjoying some improv Theatre on Wednesday Oct. 1st along with the Drama 10-12 students.

On Friday October 24, we will be heading to Science World for some opportunities to socialize as a community of grade 8-12’s.  Permission forms will be handed out this week and are due back by October 16 at the latest.

Life Skills has been busy this month already.  Cooking, bus trips, and other day to day activities are happening.  October will bring Thanksgiving, Halloween and other fun social events.

Looking forward to a busy month,

Mrs. Choboter and Ms. Short
