Our Learning Resources and Supports team is full of dedicated teachers and education assistants ready to support any of our students during their time at SJB.
For students with Individualized Learning Plans, we work with the parents and the students on creating an individualized program to help them succeed. We also liaise with the teachers on behalf of the students and support the teachers in adapting and modifying programs for students to help all students meet their academic needs.
We have EAs available with strengths to match the needs of the students in each of the classrooms and one-to-one support is accommodated.
Bear Den
The Bear Den is an alternative learning space for students with a variety of learning needs or for those who are looking for additional support with a particular class. Designed to support student learning, the Bear Den is a multi-grade room where students can get homework support or help breaking down assignments and is a safe space for those with differing abilities to get additional resources and the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual support needed to learn.
Peer Tutoring
At SJB, we have Peer Tutors available for a variety of subjects, to help younger students looking for additional support in a certain course. Our Peer Tutors are friendly! And they know how to help because they have taken the same SJB courses are you!
